Let me just say, "WOW." Dude you have a very tranquile outlook. I would say in the end people in general are more selfish. People tend to help themselves more than they help others. Most people only help others if they need something from them. A way to benefit themselves. Even I have struggled with this. I try and not be a hipocrite and I try to help people whenever I can.

Ummm. That depends on your thought process and what you feel like should be asked.
I for one do not have answers, just mere opinions. Whenever it is right nor wrong won't mean anything because I am a small speck ( sniff sniff, admiting that sucks...it does little for your ego :P)
and the universe can move along with or without me.
The means of accepting such values of true can be difficult--when you have that need to justify your existence is hard. fairy tales, video games ( seriously), and the pleasures ( rococo, baroque art and stuff like that) are all ways of letting go reality.
heres a food for thought: What do you think humans are, in the end--selfish or pure? And why do you think so?

So. Here I am with my first comment. I do agree with everything you said. And in my mind it makes perfect sense. I assume that you are a person that does get the point of what I'm trying to say. So I'm gonna ask a question. Do you have any more "topics" you think that I should write about?

First of all, that's a topic i'd roll around in but would get tired of the contingent mess.
The question you question ( haha) can be easily intepreted, as I will generalize here. We put aside our differences when we need someone--we can't become one with each other unless both sides want to or feel like they could and should. Eventually everyone is different and they each have their own independent spirit. it is when we want something more than what we have--that is when we lose our selfish conditions. If we look back at the start of the Industrial Revolution we can trace similarities to how it is now except that we, the people of the 21st century, have grown numb to just about everything, even the idea of love.
Now faithwise, seriously. I mean seriously. Science is science; it is not the other "emotional workings of religion". You cannot cut and paste what is from Genesis, stating that " earth was created in a week or so" and make it reasonable; but if you as an individual find it as a root to your means of existence, then believe--that is why you are alive because you have a choice.
Reason is the language that is derieved from the Enlightenment ( the search for truth, palpable and concrete-ness); it was a revolution against the nonsensicality of the disillusion. REALITY! as the grandness himself, Lewis Black exclaimed.
